Strong Splendid Friends.

I found two canvases in my garage this weekend as we packed Abbey's stuff in the yellow moving van. Pondering the canvases' potential, I was transported back to Maple Street...the yellow room, David Gray, and Sabrina Ward Harrison. And that reminded me of her second book:
A few of my sweet friends came to mind. True friends who I am linking arms with and standing firm as we are brave together on these rocks.

My favorite song lately is "In the Colors" off of Ben Harper's new cd.

In fact, the song is playing right now. I'm thinking about walking forward, arms wide open, a little less idealistic, but totally optimistic that these rough patches of our young years are making us more and more the people we are created to be. Our future is secure, our hope is an anchor, and we are grateful. Walking through life with you, my friends, leaves me filled with gratitude.
Maybe I will pick up where SWH left off and write a creative book on friendships...about all of you and how beautiful you are, my Strong, Splendid Friends aka the Girl Army.
