Some Girls Like Mother Daughter Teas...

But I prefer skydiving with my mother. I decided in May that I wanted to skydive in celebration of my 25th birthday. When I mentioned the idea to my mom she thought it would be a great excuse to kick off her 50th birthday celebration that actually occurs in December. The jump exceeded both of our expectations. Our instructors were awesome, which makes a huge difference, the weather was calm, the plane ride up to 10,000 ft. was beautiful, and the moment the plane door opened was such a rush. About 20 seconds into the freefall I realized I was sort of short of breath...and it occurred to me that my mouth was still wide open and I hadn't taken a breath since we jumped out of the plane. Mom and I were both in the air at the same time, which was so fun. She looked down and saw my instructor and I spinning around, and I looked up to see her cruising down. It was such a great moment. To top it off, I found out my instructor is one of the flying Elvis's (or is it Elvi) that tour the country...in Skiatook, OK? Who knew?? I am so thankful for an adventurous mother. And a great day to skydive!

That's awesome! I stopped shaving my moustache to celebrate my 25th. Pretty exciting as well if you ask me.
